Dedicated to Saint Joseph, Husband of Mary, its feast day on March 19 coincides with Polillo’s annual fiesta, when the streets come alive with the traditional Dapit procession—an uplifting display of devotion as images of patron saints from all barangays unite in honoring St. Joseph.

Built of enduring stone and brought to life by local craftsmanship, the church has grown alongside the town. In 2010, under the leadership of Bishop Rolando J. Tria Tirona, it was elevated to the status of Prelature Shrine, signaling its lasting importance in the region's religious life
